About Us
Cartwright Homes is a family-run house builder in Warwickshire. Based in Nuneaton, we are committed to delivering a personal service that sets us apart.
With more than 50 years of experience creating high-quality new homes across Warwickshire and the surrounding areas, Cartwright Homes has built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and outstanding value. Since 1970, we have remained committed to building distinctive homes that combine lasting quality with modern living.
As an independent house builder, our focus has always been on creating unique homes and thriving communities. Every development is carefully planned to deliver beautifully designed properties that our customers are proud to call home, with an unwavering commitment to quality at every stage.
Our values are rooted in the vision of our founder, Tony Cartwright. A proud Nuneaton local and skilled carpenter by trade, Tony purchased his first plot of land in 1961 with a £5,000 bank loan. He personally built eight semi-detached homes by hand – one for himself and his wife, Marge, and the remaining homes for local families. As demand for his expertly built homes grew, he founded A.R. Cartwright Limited in 1970 with a simple mission: to build the highest-quality homes for the local community at a fair and honest price.
More than five decades later, that same philosophy continues to shape every home we build. Today, Tony’s son, Andrew Cartwright, proudly leads the business, continuing the family’s legacy while maintaining an unwavering commitment to superior design, exceptional build quality, and outstanding customer service. As a family-run house builder in Warwickshire, we are able to work closely with homeowners, allowing us to focus on delivering premium new homes throughout Nuneaton, Warwickshire, and the surrounding region.
At Cartwright Homes, we believe buying a home should be one of life’s most rewarding experiences. That’s why every property we build reflects our long-standing reputation for quality, integrity, attention to detail, and homes designed to stand the test of time.
Building a Home Tailored to You
At Cartwright Homes, we believe your new home should reflect your lifestyle, tastes, and the way you live. That’s why, unlike many national house builders, we encourage you to personalise your home wherever possible.
From the moment you reserve your property, you’ll have direct access to our senior management team, who work closely with you to accommodate your preferred changes throughout the build process.
Depending on the stage of construction and the scope of the work, many alterations can be incorporated. If you purchase off-plan, you’ll have the opportunity to tailor your home’s interior to your exact requirements, from reconfiguring room layouts and selecting flooring to repositioning doors, electrical sockets, lighting, and other finishes.
It’s all part of our commitment to delivering a personal service that sets us apart as a family-run house builder in Warwickshire.

Sustainability and the Environment
As a family-run house builder in Warwickshire, sustainability is at the heart of every new development we create. We are committed to building energy-efficient homes while protecting and enhancing the natural environment for future generations.
Our environmentally conscious approach helps create thriving communities where people and wildlife can flourish together. Sustainability features across our developments include:
- Bug and bee hotels to support vital pollinators.
- Hedgehog domes to provide safe habitats for local wildlife.
- Wildlife gardens with biodiverse planting to encourage nature.
- Wildflower meadows that promote biodiversity and provide food sources for bees and other pollinators.
- Bat and bird boxes installed on every new home.
- Planting a tree for every new home we build wherever possible.
- Energy-efficient homes heated by air source heat pumps, reducing reliance on natural gas and lowering carbon emissions.
- Sustainable drainage systems that naturally manage surface water through attenuation and existing ditches where appropriate.
- Children’s bug activity sheets, helping young visitors learn about local wildlife while families explore our developments.
By combining thoughtful design with sustainable building practices, we create high-quality new homes that benefit both homeowners and the environment.

Our Charities
At Cartwright Homes, supporting our local community is an important part of who we are as a family-run house builder in Warwickshire.
We are currently proud to support our local Air Ambulance Service, helping to raise vital funds for this life-saving charity. Throughout the year, we take part in a range of fundraising activities and community events to help raise awareness and contribute to this essential cause.
We remain committed to getting involved in future charitable initiatives and supporting organisations that make a real difference across Warwickshire and the surrounding areas.
Work in the Community
At Cartwright Homes, we are proud to be a family-run house builder in Warwickshire with strong roots in the local community. Giving back and supporting local groups is an important part of who we are.
We actively engage with community projects and local organisations, including recent work with the Scouts and Guides, where we helped create and supply bug hotels. We provided 10 bug hotels, which the groups then filled with natural materials such as cones, twigs, stones, bark, and grass to create safe habitats for local wildlife.
We are also long-term supporters of local sport in the area, helping to sponsor and support Nuneaton RFC Mini & Juniors, Twycross Cricket Club, and Haunchwood Hammers Under 9s.
Through initiatives like these, we aim to strengthen community connections, support local families, and contribute positively to life across Warwickshire.
